McDonald’s to open in Siberia in 2013

McDonald’s will open its first outlet in Siberia at the end of 2013, Vedomosti reported on Monday, citing the company’s deputy president for development, Viktor Eidemiller. He said that Krasnoyarsk was to be the first Siberian city to host a McDonald’s restaurant.

“We had a first meeting with the governor of the Krasnoyarsk region and the head of the city – there is mutual interest, but there is a lot of work to be done,” Vedomosti quoted Eidemiller as saying.
