French author Anne Nivat, whose visa was annulled, forcing her to leave the country after she was apprehended and accused of working as a journalist without the appropriate type of visa, has had her visa reinstated.

“Anne Nivat came to us yesterday, March 1, and her visa was reinstated, which was previously annulled. It is a multi-entry business visa valid until March 1, 2013,” RIA Novosti quoted the head of the visa department at the Russian Embassy in Paris, Dmitry Mezhaurov, as saying. Previously, having receiving an apology from the Russian ambassador in France, Nivat said she was planning to finish working on her already gather material and collect her new visa after March 4.
