St. Petersburg authorities have decided to name a city square after the recently deceased Eduard Khil, aka the Trololo Man. Deputy Governor Vasily Kichedzhi said the decision was approved unanimously.

"There have been proposals to postpone the matter, because, well, because only a small amount of time has passed ... but when it began to be discussed, we came to the conclusion that all St. Petersburgers cared about this man," Interfax quoted Kichedzhi as saying on Monday. The square is located on Shcherbakov Pereulok. Khil lived most of his life in St. Petersburg.
