Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's plane could not land in Moscow on Monday due to heavy snowfall, spokeswoman Natalya Timakova told reporters.

She did not name the alternative landing site.

Medvedev, who flew from Sochi, had a scheduled meeting with his deputies in Gorki in the Moscow region, which has been canceled.

Earlier on Monday, spokespeople for Moscow’s main airports said that the snowfall had caused no major delays or cancellations of flights.
